B2B marketing leaders who are considering changing the structure of their organizations must start by clearly articulating the reasons for replacing or modifying the existing structure (e.g., consolidating resources, aligning to a new business model, realizing efficiency gains, optimizing performance to achieve growth, creating career opportunities) as well as the benefits and risks of doing so. A shared understanding of the rationale and implications of an organizational change is critical for a successful design process. In this report, we describe the components of the first pillar (clarity) of Forrester’s Eight Cs Of Effective Organization Design.
