Endpoint Security Suite Market Update: Q2 2013

In Q1 2013, Forrester published the Endpoint Security Wave™, a 50-criteria evaluation of the top nine endpoint security vendors. As part of our mission to keep our clients informed of important developments in the vendor landscape, Forrester contacted the nine vendors who participated in the Wave — F-Secure, IBM, Kaspersky, LANDesk, Lumension, McAfee, Sophos, Symantec, and Trend Micro — and asked each to show us how their products have evolved since our last evaluation. We assessed the updates to each product and summarized our analysis in this report. Additionally, we developed a high-level feature checklist so that security and risk (S&R) pros can quickly compare the differences between suites. We encourage S&R pros to leverage this market update, as well as the in-depth research provided in the recent Wave, to determine how each product would fit within their own organization.
