ERP Workflow: A New Option To Treat Business Process Pain

Business process professionals often struggle with how to bridge the gap between the functionality of the inflexible enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications they're using to run their businesses and the changing needs of their organization and the customers, industries, and geographies they serve. That feature gap represents one major cause of business process pain, alongside a lack of control over and visibility into ERP business processes. This report looks at an emerging category — ERP workflow tools — that aims to alleviate some of that business process pain and considers how these tools might evolve.
