As key internal and external communicators for the organization, executives should rely on the communications team for support. The communications team must have a core set of competencies and services to support executive communications requirements. In addition, the communications leader must be able to provide executives with honest feedback and coaching. Corporate communications also helps executives develop their personal brands and increase their visibility in traditional and social media. In this report, we provide a checklist for corporate communications leaders seeking to establish and manage an executive communication support function.
