Forrester Data Global Business Technographics® Applications and Collaboration Workforce Survey, 2016: Overview

This report is an overview of the Forrester Data Global Business Technographics® Applications And Collaboration Workforce Survey, 2016. It analyzes broad patterns among information workers across multiple areas, including device and application usage, working style, and collaboration scenarios. We analyzed these topics across all regions and industries. Our analysis shows that half of the information workforce are involved in functional teams that involve outside stakeholders like clients, suppliers and partners. Collaboration within these teams constitutes slightly less than half of the workforce’s typical day, with the remainder of the day spent towards independent tasks. Organizational leaders can use this data to understand how their staff functions across teams and consumes company-provided technology, while marketers and product managers can interpret demand for new applications based on existing attitudes and workforce behaviors.
