Summary

Vendor management office (VMO) leaders can use Forrester's Strategic Partnership Assessment Template to identify which technology software and service providers merit the “strategic partner” title and benefits. It includes questions for stakeholders to record their personal experience of a vendor and for vendor managers to assess the leadership, culture, and processes that make those experiences consistent and reliable. The template then summarizes and displays the assessment results in terms of the six key partnership qualities that we describe in other research: service level, client experience, trust, transparency, excellence, and value alignment.
