Summary
Over 70% of French online adults continue to engage in social distancing and mask-wearing in public, but 57% are now usually buying all or most of their groceries in person. Just 7% of French online adults report buying all of their groceries online. By comparison, 16% of US online adults and 13% of UK online adults say they shop for groceries exclusively online. Among French, UK, and US online adults, grocery is the retail category that the most consumers report shopping more for in the beginning of 2022 than they did at the beginning of 2021, but French consumers indicate that wellness is also a priority, with an increase in athletic purchases as well.
