As computing processing power continues to increase dramatically, it will soon become possible to break even the most complex passwords, making every firm on the planet vulnerable to devastating breaches of their customers' data and their most sensitive intellectual property. Rather than require your customers and employees to memorize 20-character, nondictionary passwords, it's time for security and risk (S&R) professionals to start plotting the demise of the password itself. In this report, we highlight the technologies best suited for replacing either customer or employee passwords.
