The Product Marketing And Management (PMM) Model lays out seven stages that organizations must complete when creating and marketing B2B offerings. During the seventh and final stage, sunset, offerings are discontinued through a complete process that includes a sunset business case and communications plans. Product management defines the specific end-of-life plan, including any migration elements, and customer success ensures the plan is executed at the customer level. In this report, we review the key activities and deliverables that must be completed when an offering is retired.
