In SharePoint 2010, Microsoft introduced significant records management advances, and about one-quarter of decision-makers plan to use SharePoint for records management in 2011. However, the current offering still won't address all enterprise records management requirements. Partners can play a key role in rounding out SharePoint records management functionality, but content and collaboration (C&C) professionals who are considering SharePoint 2010 for records management will need to chart a careful course to augment the technology, minimize compliance challenges, and promote strong programs.
