Executives expect to staff more services from every location, but two-thirds of the 1,550 services decision-makers we surveyed say that their most important location increases in 2022 are onshore, nearshore, and onsite — not offshore. One reason is that software development happens at a much faster pace today, requiring closer collaboration among delivery teams, often in daily standup meetings. Development teams in faraway time zones are harder to keep coordinated than those nearby.
