Product managers can be inundated by feature requests and additions to product roadmaps from sales and account management. Forrester has identified six approaches for managing and prioritizing sales requests in the context of other enhancements and roadmap items. Product leaders should select the right approach to balance the need to address sales and customer requests with the need to stay true to the product strategy. In this report, we present six options for prioritizing sales requests against other priorities and allocating resources for sales-driven development.
