It’s an exciting time to be in product management. The need for product managers has surged, with a 60% increase in demand over the past two years, according to Glassdoor. The COVID-19 pandemic has propelled the demand for digital offerings, and other trends have resulted in greater focus on the offering as the driver of growth. Technology advancements (e.g., the internet of things) have opened new avenues for delivering value, and customer expectations for an intuitive product experience from consumer and business offerings bring new challenges and opportunities. In this report, we identify five trends that will affect the priorities of product management leaders for 2022.
