When implementing and managing global public relations programs, organizations must seek a balance between centralized control and local autonomy. Centralized PR, regional hubs, and in-country resources each present advantages and disadvantages. When selecting a global PR approach, consider regional differences in language, culture, and market attributes, as well as internal organizational factors. In this report, we review the external and internal factors that organizations should consider when deciding how to support global public relations, as well as the pros and cons of three different approaches.
