Risk And Business Pros Don’t Place The Same Importance On These Systemic Risks

Enterprise risk decision-makers and business and technology pros don’t place the same importance on four out of 10 systemic risks facing enterprise organizations. “Political and geopolitical risk,” as a primary concern, has the biggest difference between the two groups. Forrester’s data shows that overall, business and tech pros are more likely to downplay systemic risk concerns compared with enterprise risk pros. Misaligned risk perceptions lead to shortsighted strategic and operational planning and make it difficult to get buy-in and budget — unless risk pros work with business and tech pros to translate the relative impacts of these risks.
