With a forecasted $144 million dollars in email marketing spending in 2014 to be wasted on messages that never get delivered, marketers have to get serious about the costly consequences of poor delivery. Marketers must implement a cocktail of delivery best practices as well as structure their compensation programs to be oriented around list engagement versus list size.
