Organizations in Asia Pacific are realizing the cost efficiencies and business agility of virtualization and cloud computing. The region's market is crowded with regional and global telecommunications service providers rolling out infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings across the region; as a result, sourcing and vendor management (SVM) professionals now have a range of providers to engage with. There are advantages to working with these providers, as they are increasingly trusted partners of companies in the Asia Pacific region. But do they understand the IT services space — and are they able to meet the IaaS needs of SVM organizations?
