Infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders and vendors have been scrambling for three years to implement initiatives based on artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) that enable AI/ML-driven operational changes. They’ve done this with minimal guidance on what these efforts entail or how various components of an AIOps solution must support each other — AIOps guidance is difficult to come by and has been predominantly driven by vendors. This report is part of a series that introduces the Forrester AIOps Reference Architecture and explains why organizations need a comprehensive structure that identifies all the capabilities necessary to implement an enterprise-class AIOps solution.
