The Forrester Channel Operating Model Assessment Tool provides a framework based on five levels of operating effectiveness — ignored, developing, defined, advanced, and optimizing — that can be used to quantify and prioritize improvements to key processes and activities for channel sales, channel marketing, and supporting operations functions. The tool allows users to select an owner, importance level, and assessment level for each key process or activity within the Channel Operating Model’s five phases. The importance of each key process or activity will differ depending on the organization’s offerings, routes to market, channel strategy, and channel and program maturity.
