Summary
Observable insights are largely dependent on the deliberate design of entities and their ability to be transparent about their inner workings when engaged. Observability is more about the entity than the action taken on it; putting the Forrester Observability Reference Architecture into practice will require a shift in mindset. This report is a first step toward reframing the observability discussion from external actions taken on entities to a shared responsibility between the designers and developers creating these entities and the technologies that act on them.
