The lean business case is the second deliverable created and presented at the end of the define stage of the Forrester Product Marketing And Management (PMM) Model. This deliverable is a market-oriented asset that defines the problem to be solved and recommends a solution that has been vetted by customers. The product core team presents the lean business case to an executive-level cross-functional team that assesses and scores the case and then grants or denies permission to develop the new offering. In this report, we provide a template and guidelines product teams can use to develop and present the lean business case.
