The Forrester Product Management Maturity Model assesses the overall product management function against a number of dimensions. Objective self-assessment on each topic helps identify areas of concern. A maturity assessment can provide executives and teams a high-level view of the organization’s current state compared to expectations, revealing areas that are not as mature as expected and areas of strength that can be leveraged. Use maturity-level definitions as guides for defining improvement goals. In this report, we introduce the Forrester Product Management Maturity Model and describe how it can be used to evaluate a product management organization.
