With the impact of service-based architecture, RFID, more integrated supply chain capabilities, and multichannel fulfillment on both retailers and manufacturers, WMS solutions have had a lot to assimilate in a relatively short amount of time. How well have vendors responded to these trends? Best-of-breeds still dominate the category, with Manhattan Associates at the top of the list, but enterprise vendor SAP has made a concerted effort to close the gap.
