Hydrasight believes the mainframe is neither dead nor necessarily destined for legacy status, despite ongoing claims (or assumptions) to the contrary. While so-called "next generation" data centers look to increasingly dominate enterprise IT infrastructure, the (modern) mainframe has the potential to remain a viable component of enterprise server infrastructure through at least 2020.
