UK shoppers are less inclined than other European consumers to embrace environmentally friendly purchasing behaviors. Still, their eco-anxiety is high, as is their distrust of organizations’ environmental sustainability claims. UK retailers and brands must get serious about their corporate commitment to environmental sustainability issues and how they demonstrate that commitment to their customers. This report reviews our data on UK online adults’ attitudes and behaviors toward environmentally conscious shopping habits to help retailers and brands understand the current state of the UK shopper and environmental sustainability.
