Consumers increasingly expect companies and brands to protect the environment and practice sustainability. US consumers are also environmentally conscious, although they’re still behind other countries, particularly in Europe, when it comes to adopting more sustainable shopping behaviors. As environmental sustainability becomes more top of mind for US consumers, especially among younger age groups, US retailers must get serious. To help retailers and brands understand the current state of the US shopper and environmental sustainability, this report reviews our data on US online adults’ attitudes and behaviors toward environmentally conscious and sustainable shopping habits.
