More college students are graduating with degrees in computer science — the number of computer science degrees conferred in the US is up 87% over a nine-year period. While an influx of new developers helps to shrink the developer gap, it barely keeps up with the number of new software developer openings created every year. As a result, even with increased supply, wage pressures continue to mount as demand outpaces supply.
