Eighty-one percent of US online adults say that delivery status tracking is important for retailers or brands to offer on their websites, per Forrester’s April 2023 Consumer Pulse Survey. The majority of US online adults want to be updated with delivery estimates throughout the entire shopping journey, such as with specific delivery or pickup dates on the retailer’s product detail page (64%); in their shopping cart (67%); in a post-purchase email confirmation, text, or notification (78%); and with status updates until the pickup or delivery is complete (78%).
