Summary

US online adults want to know how and when they will receive items, regardless of where they are in their purchase journey. Over three-quarters say that delivery status tracking is an important order- and inventory-related website feature. While they’re shopping online, 71% of US online adults would like to see the product availability in a store near them. Even better: Half want brands to offer to notify them when an out-of-stock item is available again. Retailers must leverage their order management system to deliver accurate order tracking, product availability notifications, and inventory visibility to customers. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s data on shopper preferences.
