Year-End 2013 IT Budget Benchmarks

CIOs often request IT budget benchmarks. In this report, we have provided these benchmarks using data from our Forrsight's IT Budgets And Priorities Survey, Q4 2013. However, it's easy to misuse IT budget benchmarks; a mistake often made by CEOs and senior execs who have set targets for IT spending based on the benchmark data. So, in addition to providing 2013 data by industry on IT spending and IT spending to maintain and operate the organization, systems, and equipment (MOOSE) as a percentage of revenues as well as data on how the IT operating and capital budget is divided by activity, spending category, and IT functional area, this report provides advice on how to interpret this data and how to use it effectively.
