Teamwork and collaboration are the most common company values, yet only a quarter of workers believe that their employers encourage collaboration. Why the gap? Because in most organizations, collaboration is a product of project-driven chance that overlooks the role of human emotion instead of being an experience-driven design that embraces emotion to encourage better collaboration and outcomes. We interviewed collaboration leaders at 15 organizations — many of which moved from collaboration by chance to collaboration by design — to find out how they did it. In this report, we share what we learned so that you can strengthen collaboration in your organization.
