Summary

Forrester’s Q3 2020 US Future Of Work Survey, which ran from September 8 to 11, reveals the employee experience of 1,231 US employed adults who continue to deal with the disruption of the pandemic. Employers should read this research to understand the pandemic’s impact on US workers’ productivity and well-being. Confidence in employers has fallen from its peak in May, although employees still see a plan in place. As remote work stretched into its sixth month, a majority of workers preferred working from home and wanted to continue doing so after the crisis is over. Workers’ mental health is wearing down; companies should brace for a seasonally influenced dip in optimism in January as it becomes clear that most of 2021 will still focus on pandemic management and recovery, even with vaccines on the way.
