Forrester hosted a "tweet jam" on technology trends on July 29. Cloud was clearly atop all other subjects, but business intelligence (BI), mobile, and social were also discussed — the general theme was how these emerging technologies enable new solutions to old problems. A number of tweets, however, reflected a general unrest with enterprise architecture (EA) and its ability to deliver business value effectively via emerging technology. EAs must play a critical role here — business architecture and innovation networks can help connect the dots.
