Don't Be Content With Your Web Content Management In 2009

While most organizations continue to invest in Web content management (WCM) initiatives, some appear to be postponing WCM projects due to budgetary constraints or deferring in favor of other enterprise software goals in the coming year. However, while organizations may want to freeze WCM projects, customer experience needs for public-facing Web sites will remain hot. Information and knowledge management (I&KM) professionals considering a delay in WCM projects should consider their upcoming needs around multichannel distribution, content integration, content targeting, user-generated content, and Web site archiving when making their WCM plans for the coming year.
