Summary

Sentiments like "mobile Web sucks" are increasingly common today as customer resentment builds up against slow, broken web experiences on mobile devices. Unfortunately, this blanket statement hurts the development community that embraces multidevice experiences. And it hurts customers by encouraging movement away from strategies like responsive web design (RWD) and fragmenting experiences across devices. Mobile Web — responsive and adaptive Web more broadly — owns a place in multidevice development. The application development and delivery (AD&D) community must start with education and commitment to quality by educating themselves and their stakeholders on mobile Web.
