During a B2B offering’s growth phase, developing an annual product review and strategy document is an effective means of explaining the current state of the offering (or a portfolio of products), including the market situation, past offering performance, and plans for the year ahead. The objectives of developing and presenting this document include providing context for upcoming business cases and/or setting the scope for future business growth and investment requirements for the coming year. In this report, we provide a template and guidelines that product managers — working with their product marketing and sales counterparts — can use to develop and deliver an annual product review and strategy document.
