RESTful Meets Eventful: A How-To Guide For Marrying REST And Event-Driven Architecture

Event streams have many parallels with REST APIs, and forward-thinking organizations are already applying learnings from REST API programs to event streams. But the maturity of events in this paradigm is many years behind the maturity of REST alone today. Many organizations either don’t see the connection or are unclear about how to bring events up to the same maturity level as REST, treating them as asynchronous and synchronous APIs, respectively.
