Many organizations make major product investment decisions based on arbitrary and subjective criteria. The Forrester Product Investment Scorecards provide a comprehensive set of decision-making considerations as well as guidance on evaluating each opportunity objectively. Forrester recommends that organizations leverage these scorecards to ensure they are approving the strongest initiatives and optimizing investment decisions. In this report, we introduce three investment scorecards that use the same consideration categories but become increasingly rigorous as business leaders assess opportunities from the initial business opportunity to the lean and final business cases.
