According to Forrester’s June 2021 Consumer Energy Index And Retail Pulse Survey, 25% of US online adults who have used “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) did so because they were watching their budget. In contrast, 18% used the service simply because they were curious about the payment option and wanted to try it out. This report provides a snapshot of Forrester’s data on the reasons why consumers who have used BNPL solutions chose to use the service.
