David Nygaard

President of Omnichannel Home/Services Operations/Sales, Best Buy

Role Description:

David is currently the President of Omnichannel Home/Services Operations/Sales.

He is responsible for the operational support and strategy for Store/Home Services, Customer Care and Best Buy Large Product Delivery experience. In addition, he is responsible for several of Best Buy COE’s including the Repair Parts business, Fleet, Invoicing and Vendor management. Finally, David is responsible for the actuary and Partner support of our extended warranty offers.

Career Overview:

David has been supporting services at Best Buy in a variety of roles during his 25-year tenure. His teams have been responsible for the launch of In-Home Repair, Home Theater Install services, assisted with multiple acquisitions, led the effort to eliminate parts fraud, put controls in place for the extended warranty phone replacement program, partnered to bring AppleCare to Best Buy and led Retail Operations.

Prior to joining Best Buy, David was with Circuit City where he led their Minnesota service division.

Education:

David holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
