Chief Digital and Technology Officer, Philip Morris International

Michael Voegele, Chief Digital and Information Officer, joined Philip Morris International (PMI) in 2019 as Chief Technology Officer and a member of the firm’s Senior Management Team. In 2021 Mr. Voegele was appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer. He is responsible for PMI’s technology systems and infrastructure worldwide, with a core focus on leading the firm’s global digital transformation – driving efforts to grow its digital maturity and foster continuous learning among its more than 80k employees.

From 2011 to 2018, Mr. Voegele held various senior leadership roles at Adidas Group, including Vice President, Group Functions, Head of Enterprise Architecture, and Senior Vice President of IT Sales.

In 2015, Mr. Voegele was appointed Global Chief Information Officer and joined the core leadership team in 2017. In this role, he initiated the digital transformation of Adidas and reshaped the IT organization and strategy, making it more consumer-centric and supportive of innovation throughout the company.

Before his tenure at Adidas, Mr. Voegele spent more than a decade at SAP from 2000 to 2011.
Mr. Voegele holds an engineering degree from Universität Karlsruhe in Germany, is a father of three, and is passionate about mountain biking and skiing.
