Summary

In 2013, it seemed like tablets were taking over the world, threatening the PC's position with the workforce. But the overall tablet market plateaued in 2014 and remains slow-growing and tepid in 2015. However, infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders shouldn't be distracted by quarterly shipments; tablet usage across the entire market will only continue to grow. In enterprise settings, bring-your-own-device (BYOD) will continue to be a prominent practice among information workers. And company-owned tablets are growing at a much faster rate than the overall market. This report forecasts the overall tablet market through 2018 and offers I&O leaders insight into how to construct a tablet strategy, which tablets to purchase, and how to make tablet deployments successful.
