Forrester Research, B.V. (Nasdaq: FORR) today announced that one of its most highly respected and recognised analysts has been promoted to help Forrester widen its lead as Europe’s foremost Internet research company. Matthew M. Nordan is appointed research director with immediate effect, and will report directly to Cliff Condon, Forrester’s group director of research at the company’s European headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Nordan will lead a newly formed team — including recently appointed associate analysts Abigail Leland and Hellen Omwando — examining pan-European online retail and mobile Internet issues.

Emily Nagle Green, managing director of Forrester B.V. commented, “Forrester’s business in Europe is growing at an astonishing rate and we see enormous opportunity ahead. To capitalise on these opportunities, we will leverage Matthew’s considerable talents and experience to further extend the depth and breadth of our pan-European research. And along with the research leadership from Cliff Condon, plus the appointments of Neil Bradford as managing director of the UK Research Centre and William Reeve as group director of European Data Products, Forrester has assembled a strong, experienced and unified senior team in Europe of unparalleled accomplishment.”

“Matthew has long produced exemplary research. His deep knowledge of and passion for Europe’s Internet will be invaluable as we quadruple the volume of European research we produce this year,” added Cliff Condon, group director of research at Forrester B.V. “Matthew is fast becoming one of Europe’s most visible and influential research professionals and has been profiled by many of Europe’s top technology and business publications. He is a featured speaker at major industry events and a highly sought-after analyst for client-related strategy sessions. Matthew has already made a huge contribution to the successful expansion of Forrester’s European research coverage, and his newly appointed team of Abigail and Hellen will benefit greatly from his advanced analytical skills.”

Nordan was an analyst in Forrester’s eBusiness Infrastructure research team prior to his move to the company’s European headquarters in Amsterdam in 1999. While working in the eBusiness Infrastructure team, his reports and advisory sessions advised large firms on topics like operating 24×7 Web sites and designing the right technical foundation for eCommerce. Nordan is a graduate of Yale University.

Reporting to Nordan are associate analysts Abigail Leland and Hellen Omwando, both promoted from research assistants with immediate effect. Both joined Forrester as research assistants in 1998.
