By 2020, Forrester predicts that US online retail sales will hit $590 billion — up from $390 billion in 2016 — which will make up about 15% of the total US retail sales that year. The increasing significance of the online channel means global businesses need to better understand their eCommerce opportunities in the US market as well as the rest of the world.

Forrester’s Satish Meena developed the Forrester Readiness Index For eCommerce, where he analyzed the global eCommerce opportunities across 55 countries.
