Forrester Research B.V. (Nasdaq: FORR) today announced the program for its Retail & Marketing Forum Europe: “Thriving On Interactive Channels,” taking place on October 24-26, 2000, at the Amsterdam RAI International Exhibition & Congress Centre, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This two-day Forum will examine how new interactive channels such as the mobile Internet and interactive digital TV (iDTV) will change the way European companies engage with their customers. Through a program of presentations from Forrester analysts and senior executives from leading firms, Forum attendees will learn how to use technology to reach 100 million Europeans who will spend [EURO]173 billion shopping online in 2005. “Thriving On Interactive Channels” will help retail, marketing, and new media executives understand how to acquire and serve digital consumers via the PC, as well as through emerging channels.

“Just as European retailers and media firms begin to master Net-based services delivered though PCs, the world is changing again,” commented Cliff Condon, group director of European strategy research at Forrester Research B.V. “An explosion of new interactive channels — from WAP phones to interactive TV — and the arrival of high-speed Internet access will dramatically change consumers’ online behavior. These devices will indirectly drive [EURO]316 billion in retail sales in 2005,” Condon added.

Featured speakers will include Dr. Konrad Hilbers, executive VP and chief operating officer, AOL Europe; Owen Pringle, brand director, New Media, BskyB; Kent Thexton, president, BT Global Mobile Interent; Christian Seifert, board member, KarstadtQuelle New Media AG; Mirko Siepmann, CEO, E-LOAN Europe N.V.; Marcel C.H.
