Forrester Research And ITR Announce Research Alliance
Forrester Research, Inc. (NASDAQ: FORR), one of the world’s leading technology research companies, and ITR (Information Technology Research) Corporation, a prominent Japanese IT research and consulting firm, announced an alliance today to deliver localized global technology research to IT executives and managers in Japan.
Effective next month, the two companies will collaborate through the ITR Review, a monthly publication of topical research articles combined with a series of jointly hosted seminars and events. With this alliance, a broader audience of IT decision-makers in Japan gains access to Forrester’s IT View research, which provides a wide and deep focus into IT management and technology investment issues, as well as developments in technology products and services.
“Clients will benefit from Forrester and ITR’s unparalleled understanding of the market,” said Charles Chang, president, Forrester Asia Pacific. “Companies that take advantage of this offering will have unique access to the powerful combination of Forrester’s deep global industry insight and ITR’s strong local market expertise. With this alliance, Forrester will help a wider range of Japanese businesses thrive on technology change.”
Satoshi Uchiyama, CEO of ITR, said, “We know Forrester’s research scope and technical capability are world-class and will appeal to leading Japanese firms. All ITR clients are major Japanese companies, and they represent a broad range of industries, including banking, automotive, electronic equipment, foods and beverages, and information technology. We believe that this strategic alliance with Forrester will help us empower our clients’ businesses with the right IT strategy and direction.”
Content in the ITR Review will now include selected reports from Forrester’s IT-related global research (appearing for the first time in the Japanese language) and ITR’s Japan-specific research. With Forrester’s contribution, the ITR Review now offers expanded coverage of enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, IT management, IT-business alignment, and emerging technologies.
The first Forrester-ITR joint seminar will take place on August 30, 2005, at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo. This launch event will feature presentations by executives and analysts from both firms on topics including technology’s impact on business, technology trends, and business process modeling. Complimentary tickets are available through ITR and Forrester.
