The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®), one of the largest institutions in the world that is focused solely on advancing the understanding, practice, and development of leadership, and Forrester Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORR), the premier source of research and analysis on the global Internet economy, today announced a strategic alliance focusing on the impact of the new economy on executive leadership. Under the alliance, the two organizations will leverage their research expertise and other capabilities to help CEOs and top executives meet the challenges posed by the new business models and dynamics of the Internet.

As part of defining leadership in the Internet economy, CCL and Forrester will undertake joint research to better understand how CEOs and senior executives become eLeaders. The two organizations will define the portfolio of skills needed to be successful eBusiness leaders and will create methods for assessing and developing eLeadership skills, including a pilot for a new executive offering.

“CCL is the acknowledged authority on executive leadership,” said William M. Bluestein, Ph.D., president and chief operating officer of Forrester. “Their research, developmental tools, and 30 years of experience with top executives will be a tremendous asset as we explore what it means to be an eLeader. Having trained more than 20,000 leaders in 1999 alone, CCL has the expertise and reputation with business executives that will ensure that our eLeadership initiative exceeds client expectations.”

“No one understands the Internet economy better than Forrester Research,” added John Alexander, president of CCL. “Through its examination of the business models and technology driving the new economy, Forrester has uncovered the organizational demands and leadership requirements that contribute to eBusiness success. Their research is a perfect complement to CCL’s capabilities for developing leadership in today’s complex organizations.”
