Forrester Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORR), a leading provider of research and analysis on emerging technologies, today announced that Craig Stockdale will spearhead the establishment of Forrester’s brand in Australia. In addition, Kevin Rich has been hired in the Asia-Pacific region to lead efforts in the Tokyo sales office. Both appointments are effective immediately.

“Australia and Japan are two countries ready to take their eBusiness strategies to the next level, and we look forward to supporting them in these endeavors through our research and expertise,” said Emily Nagle Green, vice president, international, at Forrester. “Although we already have a considerable sales presence in both Australia and Japan, Craig and Kevin have the talent and experience that will enable us to develop even stronger relationships with our clients and the business community in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Stockdale brings nearly 20 years of experience in sales and has launched overseas offices for technology companies. Prior to joining Forrester, Stockdale played a key role as managing director, Asia-Pacific region, at MicroTouch Systems Inc., where he was responsible for defining and advancing the company’s presence internationally. Stockdale developed the firm’s business expansion plan in this region and opened offices in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Chenzen China, Korea, and Singapore. Before his time in Asia-Pacific, Stockdale launched MicroTouch’s business in Australia.

“I am thrilled to bring my experience with building brands in Australia and Asia-Pacific to a company as pioneering and globally focused as Forrester Research,” Stockdale said. “The sales team in Australia has done a terrific job of empowering companies to advance their eCommerce strategies, and I look forward to working with them to increase the Forrester presence, support, and regional insight even further.”

Rich will be based in Forrester’s Tokyo office and will lead the team in advancing the Forrester brand. He brings more than 10 years of experience driving sales initiatives for Japanese companies in both Japan and the US, as well as developing international channels for US-based companies. Prior to joining Forrester, Rich was a global account manager for International Rectifier Japan, one of the largest semiconductor companies worldwide. Forrester has had representation in Japan since 1995, with an existing client base of banks, media, telecommunications, and other high-tech firms.
