Forrester Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORR), today announced the appointment of Vijay K. Bhagavath, Ph.D. as analyst on the Infrastructure & Telecom team, Noha Tohamy and Steven J. Walsh as analysts on the Business Applications & Services Team, and Susan Irving and Joseph L. Moore as Strategy Advisors.

Susan and Joseph will play an integral role assisting clients with technology-based strategic issues through our Intensive Advisory program.¿

Vijay K. Bhagavath, Ph.D. will focus on the technology strategy, market, and business aspects of global telecom and data networking carriers, large enterprises, and equipment vendors. Prior to joining Forrester, Bhagavath worked in Silicon Valley as the director of product management at Riverstone Networks, and as senior manager, architectures and strategy, at Extreme Networks. He holds seven US patents and has more than 20 US patents pending. Bhagavath received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a B.E. in electronics and communication engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, graduating as Valedictorian with Distinction.

Noha Tohamy will concentrate on the impact of technology change on logistics and supply chain functions and trends in demand management and in pricing and optimization. Before joining Forrester, Tohamy was a member of the implementation consulting team at Massachusetts-based Syncra Systems. Prior to that, she was director of product development at software developer ProfitLogic. Tohamy received her master¿s degree in operations research from Georgia Institute of Technology and her B.S. in mathematics with high honors from Emory University.

Steven J. Walsh will cover systems integration, application services, consulting, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Prior to joining Forrester, Walsh was director of corporate business development for SpeechWorks International, a telecom software company, where he led prospective M&A activity and partnerships with global IT integrators. Before that, Walsh was an engagement manager at L.E.K. Consulting, a strategy consultant at Mars & Co., and an IT consultant for American Management Systems. Walsh holds an M.B.A., Baker Scholar, from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of science in economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Susan Irving joins Forrester with more than 15 years of strategic marketing, planning, and management experience. Most recently, Irving worked at Cambridge-based Benchmarking Partners, where she held positions as partner, managing director, and research director. Previously, Irving was a research director in the Professional Services Strategies practice at Aberdeen Group, where she covered professional services companies including SAP, IBM, Deloitte Consulting, Hewlett-Packard, and Accenture. Irving holds an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a B.A. in economics and political science from Tufts University.

Joseph L. Moore joins Forrester with more than 20 years of experience in technology strategy, product development, and supply chain management in consumer products, telecommunications, automotive, medical devices, industrial products, and public sector arenas. Most recently, Moore was senior principal at A.T. Kearney, where he made significant contributions to the firm¿s business development and engagement management initiatives. Additionally, Moore worked as a director at Arthur D. Little. Moore holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from George Washington University and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
