Forrester Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORR), a leading provider of research and analysis on emerging technologies and Evaliant Media Resources LLC, a privately held, New York-based, international provider of online advertising data, today announced Evaliant’s acquisition of Forrester’s Internet AdWatch™, a European online advertising tool. As part of the agreement, Forrester will take a minority equity position in Evaliant as well as a seat on its board of directors. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Clients use Internet AdWatch to track the online marketing efforts of more than 15,000 advertisers across more than 650 UK, French, and German Web sites. The service’s interactive structure encourages collaboration and tailors the results to the needs of each client’s business. Internet AdWatch will continue to be based in London and will operate as a division of Evaliant.

“This is a great opportunity for our clients on both sides of the Atlantic,” stated Leon Liebman, chairman and co-chief executive officer of Evaliant. “Internet AdWatch is a comprehensive addition to our suite of online advertising measurement tools, and its European market focus will enhance the breadth and depth of our existing products. In addition, AdWatch’s customization options will allow us to offer a higher level of reporting and analysis capabilities to our clients.”

“This is a great investment for Forrester,” said John W. Boynton, vice president, business development at Forrester. “It will allow us to maximize the long-term value of this important asset, as AdWatch will benefit from Evaliant’s sharp focus and leading market position in Web ad monitoring. Furthermore, the sale of AdWatch reflects Forrester’s strategy to focus on our core business of analyzing technology change and its impact on business, consumers, and society.” Internet AdWatch became a part of Forrester when it acquired Fletcher Research in November 1999.

Internet AdWatch and Evaliant’s multinational clients will be the first to be able to monitor leading online ad markets around the world from a single source. Bev Andal, president of Evaliant, added, “The AdWatch team provides excellent service and support to its customer base and thoroughly understands the special needs inherent to the European market. Our clients will benefit from the added flexibility of having access to an experienced multilingual support team. We intend to build upon these valuable assets as we integrate Internet AdWatch into Evaliant.”
